Come On In! There's A Party Going On!

Welcome to my Halloween home and party!
The butler will show you into the main room...
Make yourself at home,
feel free to park your brooms and hats at the hearth.

This is an adult affair
but of course baby boos are welcome.

As are wee folk!

I'll introduce you to some of the other guests.
The Bones, a lovely couple,

And Ted,
of the well-known Bear family.

Blanca, the White Pumpkin Faery
makes an appearance every year.

And this is Chuckie,
he's such a joker!

I seem to be overrun with pumpkins this year.

I guess that's what happens when you grow them on trees though.

I hope you enjoyed the decor
and had a wickedly wonderful time!

Oh dear, one of the Skelly family had a bit too much brew and needs a ride home.
If you'd like to take a partying skelly home with you just leave me a comment letting me know. I'll choose his driver on October 31 of course!

Many thanks to Vanessa for hosting this fabulous annual event!

(The image freebies countdown will resume on Monday.)

The Interrupted Countdown Continues

....following a very unexpected and thankfully brief hospitalization. (And I am living testament to the belief that nurses make the worst patients!) I'm extremely happy to be recovering comfortably at home and resuming the countdown. Hope you enjoy the images!

We Played Halloween Tag!

My friend Kimberly always hosts the best swaps! She assembled the nicest tag books ever for her Halloween Tag Swap...
She made these beautiful witchy wood block tags for the front of our books. Each participant created 5 tags and we received a book of tags from 5 different artists.

If you missed my tags you can see them HERE. Thanks to all the artists for such wonderful tags, and a huge thank you to Kimberly for hosting yet another fabulous swap!

I'm in Halloween Heaven!

Another Halloween swap complete, and what a swap in was! In my flickr group we celebrated our  second annual Halloween swap, spoiling each other with our spookiest confections. We each altered one large matchbox filling it with the smaller items and then included Halloween creations for out of the box. My partner, Susan, of Flutter Before You bestowed a wonderful array of Halloween treats upon me...
That wonderful winged witch with the pumpkin and broom is the top of a most amazing matchbox!
My treat bag included handmade tags, vintage buttons,
a domino pendant, Halloween ornies and other wickedly wonderful bits and baubles.

One of my new fav pieces of Halloween decor is Susan's altered bottle of Witch's Stew.

Knowing my love affair with crows, particularly those that wear hats, I was the lucky recipient of Mr. Crow.
I immediately knew how I wanted to display him. I recently picked up this wooden candlestick at a thrift shop (my big 79 cent purchase!). I wrapped a piece of vintage lace around it and stuck a Michael's craft pumpkin on top....a perfect perch for Mr. Crow!

Happy Halloween Hugs to Susan for being an awesome swap partner!
If you missed what I whipped up in my cauldron for her, you can see it HERE.

Autumny Marie

In our Marie Antoinette Mail Art Group we are exchanging altered 2x2 brass pillboxes.
I just love the deep, rich colors of autumn and found a mix of vintage and new pieces to adorn the top of the pillbox.

I continued the autumn floral theme inside with dark brown lace and more metal flowers.
Marie is wearing a mix of vintage fabric and new metal flowers in her hair.
This was a fun little piece!
